With the recent departure of Rev. Mark Wastler, St. Paul’s has begun the search for a new Rector for his replacement. The search committee has met with Bishop Sutton and Rev. Canon Stuart Wright, Canon for Transitions and Director for Human Resources, regarding the processes and guidance to ensure that the transition from Father Mark to our Interim Priest, Patrick Pierce to a new, permanent Rector is a smooth one. We understand that it is a natural reaction to want to rush to have everything in place in order to search for a new Rector. However, we believe very strongly that, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can turn a challenging time into a future of growth and even greater love for all. If we approach this time with trust in God, in each other and in a good process, our future as a faith community will be bright indeed.
Search Committee members; John Aldis, Frank Carden, Stephanie Gumm, Kendra Harmon, Sandy Miner and Liz Partlow are committed to the task at hand to find best Rector possible that will meet the needs of St. Paul’s Congregation. Good communication will be so important as we walk this journey together. We will send updates as soon as further information becomes available and welcome your questions or concerns.”
